Hisayuki Kojima

Kojima was ski racing 16 years since when he was 7 years old. After finishing his ski racing career he changed to snowboard racing. He became 3 times the winner of the Japan National Championship. He belonged to the national team 6 years and went to World Championship and World Cup. After he finished his racing career he became a high school teacher. He made the first Japanese school snowboard team. He promoted snowboarding to Japanese sports education. He is also coaching young snowboard athletes around the world. He founded Kojima Academy in Furano in 2002 and focused on his snowboard racing program. He had a total of 6 athletes that went to Salt Lake City Olympics, Torino Olympics, and Vancouver Olympics. He is now the director of Kojima Academy, Kids Care and Furano International Snow Sports School in Furano.



Ben Adams

Ben has 30 seasons under his belt teaching skiing. He has worked in many roles within the industry. He has a wealth of experience as an instructor and has been the most requested private lesson instructor at many resorts in which he has worked.

Ben also has many seasons of training people to become ski instructors and training instructors to be more proficient at skiing and teaching. He has worked in this role for many top instructor training programs including the Rookie Academy, Cardrona Instructor Training Centre and Snowtrainers. He is a trainer and examiner for the New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Alliance, the New Zealand national organisation for certifying snowsport instructors. He trains and certifies instructors for both ski and adaptive divisions within the NZSIA as well as exams for instructors specializing in teaching children.

Ben is also an experienced race coach and has coached in numerous ski areas including coaching for the Mammoth Ski Team and Cardrona Alpine Ski Team. Ben coaches both able bodied and adaptive ski racing and can be found in New Zealand working for the High Performance Centre in Cardrona when not in Furano. One of Ben's roles at Cardrona consists of training the adaptive race program which caters for many of the world's top adaptive athletes. He has trained athletes from the British, Korean and New Zealand Paralympic teams. This role at Cardrona compliments another of his roles as the New Zealand Adaptive Ski Team Development Coach. Ben has worked teaching skiing in New Zealand, USA, Canada, France, Switzerland, Austria and Japan.

Jan Vokaty

Orignally from the Czech Republic, Jan on skis has done it all! Jan grew up ski racing and when he finished racing went on to become a trainer of Ski Instructors, Race Coach and even spent time as a member of the Czech Demo Team. Jan has trained ski instructors in the Czech Republic, USA and in New Zealand and is well known for his keen eye and attention to detail. Jan is an experienced Race coach having worked in many countries and for many race teams including the Mammoth Mountain Ski Team and Cardrona Alpine Ski Team. Jan holds APUL Level A which is the top level of Certification as a Snowsports Instructor possible in the Czech Republic, it is recognized as being equivalent to the highest Austrian certification as the APUL Level A exams are actually examined by Austrian Examiners. Jan also holds PSIA Level 3 and numerous Race Coaching qualifications including NZSIA performance coach and is also USSA certified. As well as race coaching and training the instructors Jan has worked as a top instructor at many ski areas around the world and has an extensive number of VIP clients. Jan is fluent in both English and Czech. Jan can currently be found working at Perisher Blue in Australia when not in Furano.


Naoko Adams

Naoko originally comes from Osaka, Japan. She started skiing when she was 2 years old and she has really loved skiing ever since. When she got her first skiing qualification, she found that she loved teaching skiing as well. She went to New Zealand to get NZSIA qualified when she was still a University student. After she finished her degree, she decided to become professional ski instructor. Naoko has 15 seasons experience as an instructor all over the world. She worked in Mammoth Mountain in America, and now working in New Zealand and Japan. She went on to become a fully internationally certified instructor. She worked till 2010 winter season with the local Japanese government as trainer and trained local Japanese instructors in Furano and Tomamu. She speaks fluent Japanese and English. She worked with Japanese ski magazine as translator and interpreter. Her love for skiing is only eclipsed by her love for SHOPPING!!



Rebecca Vokaty

Originally from Austrailia Rebecca has worked in almost every continent teaching skiing. Rebecca is fully internationally certified and holds PSIA level 3 certification. Rebecca teaches all ages and ability levels from adults through to Kids. She has been one of the most requested instructors at every resort she has worked in. Rebecca holds the advanced children certification and is recognised as a specialist in this area, she has trained staff at many ski schools around the globe how to produce more effective childrens lessons. Everyone enjoys her lessons regardless of age. Rebecca also is certified with the NZSIA as a race coach.



Miwa Iwai

Miwa used to be an Alpine Snowboard racer. After she finished her racing career she became a snowboard instructor. She is certified as both a Snowboard instructor in New Zealand having SBINZ level 2 and as a Ski Instructor in Japan with SAJ certification. She is always happy, smiley and kind. A lot of her students tell us how much they love to ride with her. She has spent quite a bit of time in New Zealand and speaks English and Japanese. Come to ride with Smiley Miwa.
